Imperial Emperor To Headline Tattersalls Online And Emirates Racing Authority Sale
Dubai World Cup fancy Imperial Emperor features among the entries for the upcoming horses-in-training sale held jointly by Tattersalls Online and the Emirates Racing Authority.
The online sale will run from March 26 to April 1 and features 195 lots. It marks the second time that Tattersalls Online and the Emirates Racing Authority have linked up for such a venture.
The sale will be held as an alternative to the live end-of-season auction which would normally take place around the Dubai World Cup meeting.
Hosted entirely on the Tattersalls Online platform, the auction will offer a catalogue of 172 UAE-based thoroughbreds and 23 Purebred Arabians.
Bhupat Seemar will consign 20 lots, headed by Imperial Emperor, who boasts an official rating of 115 having tasted success in the G1 Al Maktoum Challenge at Meydan back in January.
Tattersalls Online Sales Manager Katherine Sheridan commented, “We are delighted to strengthen our partnership with the Emirates Racing Authority for this second online sale, building on the success of our landmark collaboration in November. Last year’s inaugural event proved how effectively our platform connects buyers and sellers around the world. This collaboration underscores Tattersalls Online’s innovative role in modern bloodstock trading whilst making UAE racing talent accessible to the global market.”
The largest consignment comes from the stables of Salem Bin Ghadayer numbering 27 lots, of which 21 will be offered on behalf of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum.
Meanwhile, 21 lots will be offered on behalf of Godolphin in the drafts of Charlie Appleby and Saeed bin Suroor. Elsewhere, Michael Costa consigns 13 lots on behalf of Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum whilst 12 lots consigned by Simon and Ed Crisford include eight entries on behalf of Rabbah Racing.
Bidding in the online auction will open from 10:00am GMT (2:00pm GST) Thursday 26th March with the first session closing from 10:00am GMT (2:00pm GST) on Tuesday 31st March and the second session closes from 10:00am GMT (2:00pm GST) on Wednesday 1st April.
